Virginia Black
Farmers Directory
The Virginia Black Farmer Directory is a collaborative project to centralize black farmer unity and resources. This directory serves as a tool for connecting black farmers with consumers, wholesalers, markets, and other farmers.

We strive to capture farmer stories and portray farmers the way they would like. We also strive to give voice to those that have been systematically oppressed in their relationship with the land.

Please feel free to leave feedback on what we can do to make this tool more useful.

This directory has been a collective effort initiated by the food justice interns at Cultivate Charlottesville and Michael Carter Jr. of Africulture and Carter Farms. It was created and will be maintained by Local Food Hub. We are grateful to all of the participating farms and to all in our community who are dedicated to supporting historically underserved farmers.
